Effective Treatment of Retinol Acne

Retinol acne is an extremely prevalent skin condition affecting many people globally but does not just affect the young. Whilst it is true that retinol acne will often become apparent during the formative years, many people do in fact find it a temporary condition although as many as nine in every ten people will suffer with at some point in their lives.

Whilst the naturally occurring oil we produce called sebum does in fact clog the hair follicles, it is not the only substance to blame for the condition of retinol acne and neither is oily skin either. retinol acne seems to be a condition that is not necessarily a natural one and something that past generations did not suffer with.

Among the many causes of clogged pores are the use of makeup, everyday air particles and often a simple case of hormonal changes but while retinol acne is a part of life for many individuals, it can be effectively treated. Even out diet can play a part in the cause of retinol acne as much of our diet today is made up of unhealthy processed foods.

Sometimes when retinol acne is difficult to cure, a dermatologist will suggest a different type of medication which is more effective but may require more time to work. When medication is prescribed, normally the doctor involved will want to see the patient to ensure the retinol acne is clearing according to plan and decide whether to use more extreme methods.

Cleanliness is important, especially beneath the fingernails where germs and bacteria can be found and infect the already sensitive skin condition by scratching.

Many believe for example that just because their fingernails appear clean, there is nothing to worry about but that's simply not true as there are many germs and bacteria, which are not visible to the naked eye. It is for this very reason that anyone who suffers with retinol acne should not touch their retinol acne with their bare hands.

Research has shown that if your parents had retinol acne, you'll probably have it as well and very few people have perfect skin, so it is a very common skin disorder among almost every single person. The most likely scenario is that you will contact retinol acne while you are young probably around puberty.

If necessary, retinol acne sufferers should consult a dermatologist or qualified physician for retinol acne treatment.
